Indianapolis Parents Charged In Infant Son's Death

Lance Findley and Jessica Stultz were charged with Neglect of a Dependent Resulting in Death June 23.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Two Indianapolis parents will face charges in the death of their infant son earlier this year.

Lance Findley, 34, and Jessica Stultz, 20, were charged June 23 with neglect of a dependent resulting in death, Indy Star reports.

The Level 1 felony charge comes five months after one-month-old Lamont Findley's Jan. 22 death. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police that day were called for a report of a child not breathing, at the 3500 block of North Evergreen Avenue.

The boy was taken to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, where he died of malnutrition and dehydration due to child neglect, according to an Indy Star report.

The report also details an interview between the family's pediatrician and police, in which the doctor told police she had advised the parents that at 6 pounds, Lamont was underweight. She instructed them to feed Lamont more frequently and layer his clothing to keep him warm.
