IndyHumane CEO Spent Giving Tuesday Like A Shelter Dog: Videos
Humane Society of Indianapolis staff and CEO Steven Stolen campaign for #GivingTuesday by documenting Stolen's day as a shelter dog.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — When donating to an organization it's common to wonder just what your money will be going towards during Giving Tuesday, so the Humane Society of Indianapolis staff members and CEO Steven Stolen wanted to show you exactly that. To show us all the time, care and supplies that go into caring for each animal, Stolen chose to spend Giving Tuesday in a kennel just like one of the IndyHumane dogs. The shelter live streamed this experience on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages in order to help community members get a new perspective on what goes on behind shelter doors, and to show what your donations are providing every day.
IndyHumane's creative Giving Tuesday campaign kicked off at 9:15 a.m. and was followed by a post almost every hour, sometimes multiple an hour, to document Stolen's experience as a shelter dog (with the occasional reminder to donate).
Throughout the day each video was filled with nearly every event the animals go through each day, especially those arriving to the shelter. Stolen was walked (leash included), got his shelter photo taken, fed lunch (Domino's) and had a medical evaluation.

At the end of the day, Stolen was sent home with his new foster family (his actual family).
