Locals Breathe for Lung Health; Sip Brews for a Cure
Upcoming yoga and beer event to support the American Lung Association

On September 9, yoga and beer lovers will gather at the Dallara IndyCar Factory for the American Lung Association in Indiana’s first-ever LUNG FORCE Breathe & Brew event. The event will include a 60-minute yoga class by a certified yoga instructor Hye Jin Kalgaonkar, owner of The Hot Room - Hot Yoga Indianapolis, and a beer tasting.
“Yoga has been shown to benefit the body’s nervous, cardiovascular and respiratory systems,” said Dr. Christopher B. Doehring, Vice President Medical Affairs for Franciscan Health Central Indiana and local leadership board member for the Lung Association in Indiana. “The practice has even been found to lessen the effects of lung diseases like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).”
“Whether you're new to yoga, new to beer, new to both, or a seasoned pro, join us for a fun fundraiser to benefit the Lung Association and help everyone breathe a little better,” said Tanya Husain, the executive director of the Lung Association in Indiana.
