Logansport Couple Killed In Ohio Plane Crash
The bodies of the pilot and his wife were found Saturday afternoon in a southeastern Ohio retention pond.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - An Indiana couple has been identified as the two people killed in a small plane crash over the weekend in southeastern Ohio, Associated Press reports via Indy Star.
According to the report, the plane crashed into a retention pond Saturday afternoon near the Washington County village of Beverly, killing the 63-year-old pilot, Umamahesware Kalapatapu, and his 61-year-old wife, Sitha-Gita Kalapatapu.
Beverly is southeast of Columbus.

The couple, from Logansport, Indiana, were the only passengers on the Piper Archer PA-28, which was reportedly headed to a West Virginia airport.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Board are investigating the cause of the crash, AP reports via Indy Star.
