Lung Association Partners with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield

Today, the American Lung Association in Indiana announced that it is partnering with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Indiana to sponsor the Fight For Air Climb at Salesforce Tower on March 3. The event will feature thousands of participants each climbing the 47 floors and more than 1,054 steps of Salesforce Tower to help raise money and awareness for lung diseases, including lung cancer which is the mostly deadly form of cancer of in the U.S.

“Lung disease impacts more than 800,000 people in Indiana,” said Tanya Husain, executive director the Lung Association in Indiana. “That’s why Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield’s contribution as presenting sponsor is so significant in our community. From funding asthma education, to providing resources to those suffering from lung cancer, this support helps make people’s lives better every day.”

The Fight For Air Climb helps save lives locally by raising awareness about the risk factors of lung disease, helping people manage their illness through educational trainings, by funding research to find a cure for lung cancer and much more. Nearly 90 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to education, research and advocacy.

Registration for the 2018 Fight For Air Climb is currently open online or by calling 317-819-1181. Climbers can register for a discounted price of $15 before January 12, 2018.
