Man Enters Plea Deal In Amanda Blackburn Murder Case

One of the three men charged in the Nov. 2015 murder of Amanda Blackburn enters plea deal: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — One of the three men charged in the Nov. 2015 murder of Amanda Blackburn has entered a plea deal, Fox59 reports. According to the news outlet 23-year-old Jalen Watson is pleading guilty to one count of robbery and two counts of burglary in connection with the fatal shooting of a pregnant Blackburn, when he and two other men took part in the Sunnyfield Court home invasion robbery on Nov. 10, 2015. Fox 59 reports the plea agreement dismisses all other charges, including two counts of murder.

Marion County Prosecutor, Terry Curry said Watson agreed to help in the prosecution against the case's co-defendants Larry Taylor and Diano Gordon.

According to Fox 59 police say the men entered Blackburn’s home sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on the morning of Nov. 10, 2015, where they assaulted her and then shot her in the head.
