Man Killed In East 38th Street Shooting

Police identify man killed in Tuesday night shooting on East 38th Street: Report

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says its investigating a shooting in the 3400 block of East 38th Street late Tuesday. Police say IMPD North district officers were called to the 3400 block of East 38th Street just after 11 p.m. for reports of a person shot, where they found 31-year-old Kevin Luther with a gunshot wound. Police say Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services announced that Luther was dead, and homicide detectives searched the area and spoke to witnesses.

IMPD says the Marion County Coroner’s Office (MCCO) will determine the cause of Luther's death.

IMPD continues to urge anyone with information call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477 (TIPS).
