Martin Luther King Video Essay Competition For Indianapolis Public Schools Students
We want students to capture reflections on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the inspiring words shared by keynote speakers.

Indianapolis Public Schools students are encouraged to watch the replay of the Madam Walker Legacy Center’s virtual MLK Day of Celebration event that took place on January 18, 2021. We want students to capture reflections on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the inspiring words shared by keynote speakers, Angela Davis and Alicia Garza – moderated by Angela Rye.

Interested students in grades 6-12 should submit a short video, two minutes or less, where they are visible on camera speaking directly to the legacy of Dr. King and/or sharing key takeaways form the event. Prizes will be awarded to the winners in each grade level category.
