Mayweather Vs. McGregor Live Stream: What Time's The Fight, How To Watch And More

LAS VEGAS, NV — Some call it spectacle, others are calling it the fight of the century. Whichever definition you choose, the mega fight between five-division world champion Floyd "Money" Mayweather and UFC lightweight champion "The Notorious" Conor McGregor is set to go down Saturday night at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas.

In a clash of two worlds, the boxer Mayweather will test his perfect 49-0 professional record against the mixed martial artist McGregor under the traditional Marquess of Queensberry boxing rules. While McGregor brings two world titles and a 21-3 mixed martial arts record, he has never had a professional boxing match and has limited amateur experience.

“Pretty Boy Floyd" will also be competing to break Rocky Marciano’s record for the most victories in an undefeated career. Experts and insiders say the event is projected to shatter both revenue and pay-per-view records previously set by Mayweather during his 2015 bout with Manny Pacquiao, which would make Saturday's event one of the highest-grossing single-night sporting events of all time.

While 4.4 million pay-per-view sales were made in 2015, consumers left the fight with lighter wallets and bad tastes in their mouths after Mayweather put on an uneventful defensive clinic.
Here is what you need to know heading into the highly-anticipated bout.

How To Watch

The pay-per-view main fight card kicks off at 9 p.m. Eastern. There will be four fights on the main card, culminating with the main event between Mayweather and McGregor. There will also be a free undercard on Fox beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern.

You can purchase the fight for $99.95 in high definition on Showtime pay-per-view by contacting your local participating cable provider. If you have an old TV or don’t mind a lower-quality image, you can save $10 by ordering the fight in standard definition.

The fight is also available for streaming on ShowtimePPV.com, the ShowtimePPV app, UFC.TV, the PlayStation Store or Sling TV.

Tickets to the bout still remain, but a seat in the T-Mobile arena likely will cost you more than a new car. According to StubHub, the cheapest tickets as of Thursday afternoon were available are $1,260 for seats in the upper corner of the arena. The most expensive ringside seats are going for upwards of $100,000.

Local Viewing

There will also be plenty of bars and restaurants that will purchase the fight. You can visit the UFC Bars website to see which establishments are showing the fight in the Indianapolis area.

If you'd rather watch in a local movie theater, Indianapolis 17, Castleton Square 14, Galaxy 17, Galaxy 14 and Hamilton 16 with IMAX, are showing the fight, with tickets costing up to $40.

Tale of the Tape

The 12-round fight will be contested at 154 pounds, the junior middleweight limit. McGregor and Mayweather will wear 8 oz. gloves after the Nevada State Athletic Commission approved a one-time waiver at the request of Mayweather Promotions.

The commission's approval runs contrary to its standard policy, which states fights contested above 147 pounds will be fought in 10 oz. gloves. The decision also went against a recommendation from the Association of Ringside Physicians, who cautioned against the move for health and safety reasons.

McGregor, 29, is the younger fighter by a significant margin. He stands five-feet-nine inches tall and has a 74-inch reach. Mayweather, 40, stands five-feet-eight inches tall and has a 72-inch reach.

The “Notorious” one predicts he will knock out Mayweather inside of the first four rounds, and the general consensus is that McGregor’s only way to win the fight is by a lucky knockout punch.

Some are confident Mayweather will win by knockout, but most believe he will employ his trademark defensive style en route to an easy unanimous decision victory.

Odds

An overwhelming amount of experts are predicting the highly-experienced Mayweather to best the boxing novice McGregor handily Saturday night. However, bettors and fans don’t seem to see it the same way. The Westgate Las Vegas sports book first posted odds indicating Mayweather was a 25 to 1 favorite (-2500 Mayweather vs. +1100 McGregor) back in February, reports ESPN.

Since initial odds were posted, bettors continue to favor McGregor and the line has shifted heavily in the Irishman’s favor.

As of Aug. 23, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Mayweather remains a -400 favorite over the +300 McGregor making Mayweather a four-to-one favorite.
