INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials report one person was shot Thursday morning on the city's near-east side. According to WRTV, the shooting happened near the intersection of Washington Street and Hendricks Place around 11 a.m. The news outlet adds the victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police expanded the crime scene by a few houses just before noon Thursday, when they found more evidence of the shooting, including bloody footprints.
