Report Traffic Issues, Request Extra Patrols Through Shift Indy
New convenient, online services for community members offered through Indianapolis and Marion County's Shift Indy Project: More

If you've ever wanted to report a traffic issue or request extra police officer patrols in your area but doing so seemed intimidating or time consuming, there's good news. You can now report or request these from IMPD through new services at my.indy.gov, as part of the Shift Indy project. On its home page, the website project is being called "a digital city hall for the city and Marion County. "
Shift Indy is a long-term project aimed at driving government service forward, making city and county government more accessible and efficient through the all new My.Indy.Gov.
Shift Indy and IMPD both tweeted the new services - request extra patrols and report traffic issues - on Monday, Nov. 20, directing community members to the links where they can submit requests and reports.

According to the site, the service of requesting more patrols is for those who'd especially like greater police presence in their neighborhood while they're out of town, as extra police patrols help prevent crime, lower the number of traffic accidents, and keep law and order.
