Representative Carson: please support Alzheimer's funding policies!

I am an Alzheimer’s disease researcher, and I am passionate about using my knowledge to volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association and advocate for people living with this terrible disease. Alzheimer’s doesn’t just affect the person who is diagnosed; there are an estimated 16 million unpaid caregivers in the US who provide over 18 billion hours of care for people with Alzheimer’s annually. Entire families and communities endure great pain and challenges when a loved one is facing an AD diagnosis. It is only through increased awareness and research funding that we can discover new ways to prevent, treat, and eventually cure Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. That is why is it critical for Representative André Carson, and all Members of Congress, to prioritize this disease by supporting Alzheimer’s research funding and reauthorizing critical bills like the NAPA Act, Alzheimer’s Accountability and Investment Act, and the BOLD Reauthorization Act. We have made incredible progress in the fight to end Alzheimer’s, but our work is not done, and we must continue investing in Alzheimer’s care and research to bring an end to this devastating disease.
