Westfield Police Used Stolen iPhone To Locate Armed Robbery Suspects

WESTFIELD, IN — Police officials have found more evidence following an armed robbery Monday at a Westfield home, thanks to their retrieval of footage from a home security system which was recording the entire time, Fox59 reports. According to court documents, Fox59 reports each of the three male suspects took turns holding the victim at gunpoint as the others went around the home and ransacked it. According to the news outlet, more than $2,000 in electronics were reported stolen, including speakers, a TV, and an iPhone, which acted as a tracking device. Because of this, Fox59 reports detectives were able to locate the accused armed robbers at an apartment complex about 25 miles away.

After locating the suspects the officers stopped them and and called the victim's phone, which allegedly rang from inside the vehicle, leading to more stolen items.

Three Indianapolis men are in police custody following an armed robbery Monday at a Westfield home, Fox59 reports. The news outlet reports detectives located and arrested the men in connection with the robbery that took place at 3:17 p.m. in the 000 block of English Green, when the victim reportedly answered the door and was forced back inside at gunpoint. According to Fox59, Dominique Dunn, 24, Jordan Bright, 26 and Lajon Wilson Jr., 23 are facing several charges including robbery.
