Silver Alert Cancelled In Search For Missing Rensselaer Woman
Jasper County officials requested alert after Butler had not been seen since 12 p.m. Wednesday.

RENSSELAER, IN -- An Indiana Silver Alert issued Wednesday, Aug. 30 in the search for Wanda Butler has been cancelled by police as of Thursday morning, Aug. 31. This cancellation was requested by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department. Please contact the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department at 219-866-7344 for additional information.

The Jasper County Sheriff's Department is investigating the disappearance of an elderly female from Rensselaer, located approximately 106 miles northwest of Indianapolis, Indiana State Police report.

Police are searching for 77-year-old Wanda Butler who they describe as a white female, five feet, one inches tall, 110 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Police report Butler was last seen Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in Rensselaer, and is believed to be in danger.
According to ISP, Butler was last seen driving a Silver/White 2012 Chevrolet Sonic with Indiana Plate 446AAN. Officials add the vehicle has a white ball on the antenna and a Sheriff’s Department sticker on the bumper.
