Facebook Post Catches Indiana Cops Sleeping On The Job
Richmond Police Department: Internal investigation underway as photos of officers sleeping on the job has gone viral.

RICHMOND, IN – The Richmond Police Department has launched an investigation after photos were posted on social media over the weekend showing two officers sleeping in their car, WGN-TV reports. According to the TV station, the city's police chief announced the internal investigation after someone posted the photos on Facebook Saturday morning with the caption, "Check out what we found this morning." The photos show the officers apparently asleep in a Richmond police car, which was parked at a cemetery.
According to the Facebook post, the photos were taken at St. Andrews Cemetery in Richmond. The photos have since been shared more than 8,000 times.
According to Richmond's Palladium Item, Police Chief Jim Branum said the department has a policy mandating officers shouldn't sleep on the job.
