Stolen Car Crashes Into Indianapolis Family Dollar Store: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – An investigation is underway after Indianapolis Metropolitan police say a car crashed into a Family Dollar early Monday morning on the city's near east side, WXIN reports. The news report says according to police, the crash happened just before 6 a.m. at the Family Dollar location at 3419 English Ave. The driver had already left the scene when Indianapolis firefighters and police arrived, WXIN says.

Police confirmed to the news source that the car was stolen and the crash may have been part of an attempted break-in at the store which had been boarded up due to a "previous incident."
