Task Force To Gather Input On Linking Up State Bike Trails
Indiana Bike Trails Task Force schedules meeting to discuss ideas and get feedback on bringing more Hoosier bike trails together.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana Bike Trails Task Force will meet Wednesday morning at the Indianapolis Zoo to discuss new ways to connect bike trails throughout the state, The Associated Press reports. The group will meet at 10 a.m. to talk through ideas and gather input, when it comes to developing proposals to link up bike trails and determine ways to pay for the projects, AP reports. The news outlet adds the group, which was created this year by the General Assembly, must release its findings by July 2019, including six possible ways to fund the improvements, and timetables.
Indiana has over 1,500 miles of hard surface, off-road trails open for bicycling, but officials say the state is behind others in regards to linking these trails.
