INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Vice President Mike Pence praised both the Indianapolis Ten Point Coalition and the Trump administration Friday during a speech at a fundraiser for the city's anti-violence group, IndyStar reports. During the speech, Pence emphasized the Trump administration's plans to combat crime, pointing out the President's recent decision to declare the country's opioid crisis a national emergency, IndyStar reports. The news source also said Pence recognized the Indianapolis Ten Point Coalition’s work to reduce violence in neighborhoods, and a new partnership between the U.S. Department of Justice and twelve cities, including Indianapolis, that will provide funds to help fight violent crime.
