Video Shows Head-On Crash Of Car, Wayne Township Fire Truck
Dashcam video from Wayne Township Fire Department Engine 84 shows head-on crash with a car on Country Club Road.
WAYNE TOWNSHIP — Wayne Township Fire Department officials released video of what they say is the second department vehicle to be hit head on in just over a month. Officials say their WTFD Engine 84 was involved in a head-on crash on Country Club Road just north of 21st on Wednesday afternoon. A warning for viewers as the video shows a view of the crash from the engine's dashcam.
WTFD says four firefighters were responding to a medical call when the driver in a car traveling southbound crossed over the center lines and hit the engine straight on.
None of the firefighters were injured, however the driver of the car was trapped and taken to Eskenazi for injuries and is in good condition.
