Walmart Associates in Plainfield Gave Back During Second Annual Day of Service
Plainfield Fulfillment Center associates supported a food drive at the Indianapolis Urban League as part of Walmart's Day of Service.

Walmart associates from the Plainfield Fulfillment Center joined the company's second annual Northeast Day of Service, an initiative that brought together more than 200 associates from eight fulfillment centers across five states to volunteer in their local communities.
In Plainfield, associates supported a food drive at the Indianapolis Urban League, helping restock resources for families in the community. The effort was part of a broader wave of service projects Walmart associates carried out across Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, including painting facilities, organizing donations, cleaning community spaces, and serving meals.
Alongside volunteer hours, Walmart's Northeast Supply Chain facilities awarded a combined $33,500 in community grants to nonprofit organizations involved in the day's projects, including support for the Indianapolis Urban League.

"Giving back to our communities is at the heart of what we do," said Jeanette Aubrey, People Director for Walmart's Northeast Fulfillment Centers. "Our Northeast Day of Service gives associates the opportunity to make a direct impact alongside organizations that are changing lives every day. By working together, we're strengthening our communities, building meaningful relationships, and creating lasting positive change."
The Plainfield Fulfillment Center's participation reflects Walmart's continued investment in the greater Indianapolis area, where associates work to support neighborhoods beyond the company's day-to-day retail and supply chain operations.
