Walmart associates recognize Perry Meridian Middle School Educators

Several Walmart associates from two Indianapolis-area Walmart stores recently visited Perry Meridian Middle School to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week and recognize the educators who make a difference every day in students’ lives. During the visit, Walmart presented the school with a $1,500 donation to support teachers and staff, along with a large assortment of snacks, drinks, and grab-and-go items the school requested for Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4–May 8. The donation included protein bars, granola bars, fresh fruit, bottled water, flavored drinks, coffee supplies, chips, candy, trail mix, jerky, and other easy-to-grab snacks to help keep teachers energized throughout the school day.

The effort reflects Walmart’s commitment to serving the community and supporting educators who help shape the next generation. Associates said recognizing teachers is one of the most meaningful ways to give back, noting that teachers go far beyond the classroom by mentoring, guiding, and supporting students every day. The visit also highlighted Walmart’s focus on being more than a place to shop by serving as a community partner and bringing associates together through acts of service and appreciation.
