• West Lafayette Flock camera cut down, removed after protests (jconline.com) — A Flock license-plate camera at Sagamore Parkway West and Soldiers Home Road in West Lafayette was cut down and removed just hours after protests against the cameras around Greater Lafayette. Police say tools were likely used, no suspects are identified because the system doesn't capture faces, and investigators are asking anyone with information to call WeTip or the West Lafayette police non-emergency line.
   

• Zion Clopton carries Harrison football past West Lafayette in shootout (jconline.com) — Harrison edged West Lafayette 43–40 in a wild season opener at Gordon Straley Field in West Lafayette, with Zion Clopton scoring four touchdowns and a key late safety shifting momentum. Despite the loss, West Lafayette's coach praised his team's toughness and expects the Red Devils to improve throughout the season, while Harrison views the thriller as a launching point after last year's 4–6 record.
