• Annual Hunger Hike raises more than $75,000 to combat food insecurity in Greater Lafayette (wlfi.com) — A major anti-hunger fundraiser just brought more than $75,000 back into the Greater Lafayette community, with organizers already planning next year's Hunger Hike at Riehle Plaza in downtown Lafayette. Local groups like Food Finders Food Bank and Lafayette Urban Ministry say the money will bolster programs that quietly support neighbors facing food insecurity across Lafayette and West Lafayette.
   

• Defensive failure offsets offensive progress for Purdue football at UCLA (jconline.com) — Purdue fans in the Lafayette area saw encouraging offensive fireworks but another defensive collapse in the Boilermakers' 52-38 loss at UCLA, extending the Big Ten skid to 19 games. A breakout 75-yard touchdown and creative special teams couldn't overcome three turnovers and a defense that surrendered 645 yards, raising fresh concerns heading into conference play.
