1. Daily closures postponed on State Road 62 near Canaan (madisoncourier.com) — Drivers in Madison should prepare for a one-day closure of State Road 7 at Hanging Rock Hill on Monday, Sept. 21, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for ditch cleaning and repairs. INDOT has also postponed previously planned closures on State Road 62 near Canaan and will announce a new schedule later, so local commuters should watch for updates and plan alternate routes.
   

2. Pewee Valley artist's print selected for Madison Chautauqua Festival (pmg-ky1.com) — Madison residents can look forward to this year's Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art on Sept. 27–28, where a vibrant Broadway Fountain scene by Pewee Valley artist RaeAnne Pearson will be the official festival print. Pearson, who has longtime ties to Madison, will be signing prints during set times both days as more than 200 artists fill the riverfront with booths and color.
   

3. Community gathers to remember courage shown after 9/11 tragedy (madisoncourier.com) — Madison residents recently gathered at Lorenz Park to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11, hearing reflections from Mayor Bob Courtney and retired Air Force Col. David Karns, now a local resident who was at the Pentagon that day. Speakers emphasized honoring first responders' courage and urged the community to live in ways that remember their sacrifice while celebrating Madison's strong tradition of service and patriotism.
   

4. Second annual Unbroken Circle draws huge crowd (madisoncourier.com) — Madison's Unbroken Circle Music Festival just drew thousands to Bicentennial Park, and city leaders say the success is helping introduce the community to new visitors. Organizers and Mayor Bob Courtney are now backing a $5–6 million permanent amphitheater project, largely funded by READI dollars, that would add a new stage, restrooms, parking, and ADA paths in time for next year's festival.
