• Muncie Man Arrested in Fatal Shooting (wibc.com) — Muncie police have arrested James Clark on preliminary murder and related charges after a man was fatally shot at the Earthstone Terrace apartments near East 26th Street and South Dayton Avenue. The victim, identified as Jaylen McCullum, later died at the hospital, and investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Muncie Police Department's Detective Division.
   

• East Central Indiana's Answer to the Healthcare Talent Shortage is to Grow Your Own — Muncie Journal (munciejournal.com) — Muncie residents are at the center of a growing "healthcare talent corridor" that lets local students progress from high school exploration to medical school and hospital residencies without leaving town. Local schools, Ball State, IU School of Medicine–Muncie, and IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital are tightly coordinating programs, with strong interest from Muncie Central students and major support from Ball Brothers Foundation.
