From Cafe Noricha near Federal Hill to Schwartz's Bait and Tackle on the White River, owners are drying out, checking insurance, and leaning on community support and relief partners to recover operations.

2. Spartz addresses flood recovery, workforce shortage (youarecurrent.com) — Noblesville residents heard directly from U.S. Rep. Victoria Spartz at Promenade Trails Community Center about federal help for recent Hamilton County flooding and how it affects underinsured neighborhoods. A Noblesville resident herself, Spartz outlined efforts with Gov. Mike Braun to secure a FEMA major disaster declaration and encouraged locals to seek State Disaster Relief Fund grants. She also discussed how technology and tax changes could reshape the regional workforce.

Local experts are taking notes (wane.com) — Recent record-breaking floods along the White River put Noblesville in the spotlight, with the local gauge cresting at 24.6 feet, nearly four feet above major flood stage. A Fort Wayne–focused analysis compares those central Indiana records, including Noblesville's, to historic Maumee River floods and examines whether similar devastation could hit Allen County. The piece underscores how extreme rainfall can quickly test riverfront communities' protections.
