Carmel bridge destroyed by flooding could be replaced by end of 2027 (wishtv.com) — Hamilton County officials, speaking from Noblesville, say the flood-destroyed Hazel Dell Parkway bridge in Carmel could be fully rebuilt by the end of 2027, while massive neighborhood cleanup continues countywide. Noblesville-area residents can call a dedicated flood assistance hotline for food, shelter, cleanup gear, and help sorting debris so trucks can move faster through affected streets.
   

3. As power restoration deadlines loom, thousands are still without power in Indiana (san.com) — Recent severe storms left widespread damage across Indiana, including serious flooding captured in aerial photos over Noblesville. While most power has been restored, more than 10,000 NIPSCO customers statewide were still out as of Monday, and a new lawsuit accuses the utility of failing to manage vegetation before the storms.
   

4. Indy to determine if flood damage will impact future road spending priorities (fox59.com) — Indianapolis officials are reassessing road and bridge spending after record August flooding, even though the city avoided the worst damage seen in Noblesville and Carmel. Inspectors are checking White River–adjacent neighborhoods to see if any infrastructure now needs urgent repairs or a higher priority in the city's growing multi-year capital plan.

Islamophobic Indiana Woman Sparks Outrage After Asking if Café Is Run by Muslims Because They 'Scare' Her: 'How Clueless Could This Lady Be' (thenerdstash.com) — A Noblesville woman's video complaining that Muslims "scare" her after seeing a hijab-wearing employee at Uptown Cafe has drawn widespread backlash and strong support for the café and its staff. Locals are rallying behind the restaurant, with one resident urging people to patronize the Noblesville business and the employee involved thanking the community for its encouragement.
