• Noblesville Common Council approves annexations, advances funding for pedestrian tunnel (youarecurrent.com) — Noblesville's Common Council just approved annexations for two major housing developments and advanced funding to design a pedestrian tunnel improving access to Finch Creek Park. Councilors also vacated part of an alley behind the Mill Top Banquet and Conference Center, with conditions tied to sidewalk repairs and dumpster placement that could affect nearby downtown access and safety.
• Rock & Relief concert in Noblesville helps flood victims (wsbt.com) — Neighbors gathered in Noblesville's Forest Park for a Rock & Relief concert supporting local families still recovering from last month's severe flooding. With bands playing for free and donation boxes throughout the park, organizers focused on raising money to help rebuild dozens of damaged homes after rescuers saved more than 170 people during the high water.
• Court dismisses case involving customer, Noblesville restaurant manager (youarecurrent.com) — A local court has dismissed a Noblesville customer's request for a protective order against the manager of Uptown Cafe after a dispute involving comments about a Muslim teen employee's hijab. The manager barred the customer from the restaurant, the incident went viral online, and a national Muslim civil rights group publicly praised the manager's support for the young worker.
