Coroner Identifies Man Killed In 30-Hour Owen County Standoff
A coroner has identified the Central Indiana man shot and killed following a 30-plus hour police standoff: Report

SPENCER, IN — The Associated Press reports a coroner has identified a Spencer man who was fatally shot by police after holding his wife hostage during a standoff lasting more than 30 hours. According to AP, the Owen County coroner said 31-year-old Mason Johnson II was shot and killed by a tactical team member outside the Central Indiana home after being spotted through a doorway around 7 a.m. Saturday. AP reports the standoff began around 11:20 p.m. Thursday as police officials were met with gunfire when they responded to a domestic violence complaint at the home.
Authorities report Johnson held two women and two children hostage, before one of the women escaped and the two children were released Friday.
