Hamilton County Sheriff officials release details in Noblesville Christmas day murder-suicide.

NOBLESVILLE, IN — Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office officials released details in what is now being classified as a murder-suicide in Noblesville on Christmas day. Officials say deputies were first called to a home in the 11200 block of E. 191st Street around 4:35 p.m. on Dec. 25 on a report of a shooting. That's where officials say officers found three bodies inside the home upon arrival, identified as Donald Moon, 84, his wife Joyce Moon, 81, and their son Todd Moon, 48.
Officials report that according to investigators, the incident may have started that afternoon when Todd Moon contacted a family member to come to the home where he lived with his parents and his two juvenile children. According to detectives, there appeared to be an argument between Todd Moon and his mother when the family member arrived, which escalated when Todd Moon retrieved a handgun and shot his mother.
According to a release, investigators believe Todd Moon then went to a back bedroom where he shot his father, then moved to the front of the house where he shot himself in the head.

Officials say the family member inside the home during the shootings quickly left the house with the children and drove to Noblesville Fire Station 75, located near the scene.
Law enforcement officials say during this time, an attempt was made to call 911 but was misdialed, and the initial 911 call was made by a third-party family member.
Officals say Noblesville Police officers arrived first at the scene and found the three bodies inside the house, and Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies arrived shortly after to carry out all investigative tasks. Sheriff's office officials say Joyce Moon was found in the front hallway, Donald Moon was in a rear bedroom, Todd Moon near the kitchen, and a medic at the scene confirmed all three were dead.
Sheriff's office officials say there were no criminal charges in any of the backgrounds of those involved, or any known history of domestic violence or mental illness. While officials wait on toxicology results, detectives don't believe drugs or alcohol were involved, and no note was found.
The children living at the home are being cared for by the Indiana Department of Child Services and are staying with family members.
Detectives are still working to find out ascertain what may have led to the incident or the cause of the argument.
