Travel Advisory Underway In Hamilton County

HAMILTON COUNTY, IN — As New Year's Day is underway, Hamilton County Sheriff officials are reminding community members and motorists that the area remains under a Yellow Travel Advisory due to blowing and drifting snow. Officials say the rural parts of Hamilton County will continue to experience snow blowing across the roads, and drifting will become an issue. All should use caution when traveling across the county.

Sheriff officials say the Hamilton County Traffic Safety Partnership reminds community members that if you choose to celebrate the end of 2017 and beginning of 2018 with alcohol, to please do so responsibly and utilize transportation services or a designated driver.

Hamilton County Sheriff's officials say the Traffic Safety Partnership will have extra patrols throughout the holiday weekend.
