• Cops Connecting with Kids got its start in 2013 (the-hendersonian.com) — A regional police-youth program that includes students from Princeton has taken more than 700 kids from Henderson and Evansville to Disney World, building trust between officers and young people. Local officers describe how the trips break down barriers, inspire some teens toward law enforcement careers, and create long-term mentoring relationships that continue well after the flights home.
