• Free Reid Center concert explores American music through history (pal-item.com) — Richmond residents are invited to a free community sing-along concert at The Reid Center on Sept. 27, featuring the IU East Richmond Chorale and Community Choristers. Led by IU East professor Jessica Raposo Coleman, the program will trace American music through history, highlighting jazz, folk, popular and culturally diverse traditions while encouraging the audience to join in. • Deputies: Richmond man's bid to hide meth in body cavity failed (pal-item.com) — Wayne County deputies say a Richmond man faces new felony meth possession and resisting charges after allegedly trying to hide 27 grams of meth in a body cavity while being taken to jail. Officers arrested him at a North Ninth Street home in Richmond, then discovered the suspected drugs during a body scan and transport to Reid Hospital. He remains jailed on a $30,000 bond pending a Sept. 24 hearing.
