• Richard S. Hankins (boonecountydailynews.com) — Longtime steel worker Richard "Dick" Hankins, who spent 48 years at Biddle's Manufacturing in Sheridan, has passed away at 81. Friends and family can pay respects at visitation and funeral services in Thorntown next week, and are encouraged to consider memorial donations to a Boone County animal rescue or Gideons International.
