South Bend's Nimtz Parkway To Close Thursday

Beginning Thursday, December 5, Nimtz Parkway from the U.S. 31 Bypass to Olive Road will close for the installation of two water service lines. All ramps at the U.S. 31 Bypass and Nimtz Parkway interchange will remain open during this closure. The anticipated reopening date will be at the end of the day on Wednesday, December 11, weather permitting.
Detour routes will be in place 24 hours a day until work is complete. Westbound traffic on Nimtz Parkway will be detoured north on the U.S. 31 Bypass to the Cleveland/Brick Road interchange, then west on Brick Road before rejoining Olive Road. Eastbound traffic on Old Cleveland Road will reverse the flow: north on Olive Road, then east on Brick Road to the U.S. 31 Bypass.
