1. Magical Meadows celebrates new Warriors Arena, unveils $1.9M plans for future expansion (wowo.com) — In Warsaw, The Magical Meadows just opened its new 14,000-square-foot Warriors Arena for veterans and first responders and is now eyeing a $1.9 million Adams Center renovation. The proposed project would turn its original arena into a gym, recreation hub, and therapy space, expanding inclusive programs and bringing more health and adaptive services to local families and people with disabilities.
2. Joe Fox Appointed As Warsaw Library Director (inkfreenews.com) — Warsaw residents will soon see new leadership at the Community Public Library, as Joe Fox has been appointed director starting Sept. 21 with a $92,500 salary. The library board also discussed the 2027 budget, projected tax rate, and updated nonresident card fees, and encouraged community members to share ideas directly with Fox.
3. Country Christmas Concert featuring Suzie McEntire will be at new Wawasee Performing Arts Center (newsnowwarsaw.com) — A long-running holiday favorite that spent 12 years at Lakeview Middle School in Warsaw is moving to the new Wawasee Performing Arts Center in Syracuse on Dec. 12. The free Country Christmas concert with Susie McEntire and guests will also support Toys for Tots, inviting Kosciusko County residents to bring new, unwrapped toys for local children.
4. Leesburg Property Owner Requests Kosciusko BZA Reverse Decision On LITE Recovery House (inkfreenews.com) — A Leesburg property owner is asking Kosciusko Circuit Court to overturn the county Board of Zoning Appeals' approval of a women's transition group home on East Prairie Street. The lawsuit argues the BZA arbitrarily granted LITE Recovery's exception for the residential district and seeks an order requiring the board to deny the permit, a decision that could affect how similar housing is approved near Warsaw.
