• Volleyball Recap: Zionsville Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Southwood (maxpreps.com) — Zionsville's volleyball team dropped a tight two-set match to powerhouse Southwood, extending the Eagles' losing streak to four despite competitive scores in both sets. Now 9-7, Zionsville will try to rebound at home this Saturday at 11 a.m. when they host Winchester Community, giving local fans a chance to cheer them back on track.
• Hamilton County lawmakers encourage applications for 2027 Statehouse internships (larryinfishers.com) — Zionsville-area State Rep. Hunter Smith and other Hamilton County lawmakers are urging local college students and recent grads to apply for paid Indiana House Republican internships at the Statehouse in early 2027. The full-time roles, open to most majors and paying $900 every two weeks, offer hands-on experience in legislative work, communications and policy with an application deadline of Oct. 31, 2026.
