Former Vice President Joe Biden will address campus sexual assault with Greek life leaders at Indianapolis conference: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- Former Vice President Joe Biden will be in Indianapolis this weekend in support of ending sexual violence on campus, a cause he kicked off two years ago at the University of Pittsburgh. According to the Indianapolis Star, the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values central conference will bring together thousands of leaders from college sororities and fraternities from across the U.S. to discuss problems taking place around the country. The conference runs through Sunday, and the news outlet reports Biden will be there to kick off a conversation on ending sexual assault on college campuses.

Biden has been an activist for decades when it comes to support against sexual assault at colleges and other violence centered around women, as he supported the Violence Against Women Act more than 20 years ago in the U.S. Senate, IndyStar reports.

The former vice president backed the Obama administration's "Its on us" campaign to end sexual assault in the workplace and on campus, and was praised during a the 2016 stop in Pittsburgh on a national campus tour when he asked Pitt students to sign on to the pledge.
