Man Convicted In 2016 Shootings At Indianapolis Police Offices

Damoine Wilcoxson will be sentenced this month for Oct. 2016 shootings at Indianapolis police district offices.

The Associated Press reports a man has been convicted in last year's shootings at two Indianapolis police district offices. AP reports Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry says a jury convicted Damoine Wilcoxson on Wednesday of two counts of attempted murder from the Oct. 13, 2016 shooting where two officers inside the building were believed to be the targets, in addition criminal recklessness for an earlier shooting on Oct. 4, 2016. According to AP there were more than a dozen shots fired at each office, but no one was hurt.

Sentencing is set for Dec. 22.

AP reports Wilcoxson is also charged with murder in the Sept. 28, 2016 shooting death of 82-year-old John A. Clements of Zionsville.
