BOONE COUNTY, IN -- Boone County officials say registration for the 2018 Boone County State of the Community event closes Thursday, March 1. The event, presented by the Boone County Economic Development Corporation and the Boone County Chamber of Commerce, will bring public officials together to discuss important issues in the community. Zionsville and other Boone County-area residents are invited to attend the event, which takes place Wednesday, March 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Boone County Fairgrounds.

According to a release, the panel of local officials includes:

  • Boone County Council President Steve Jacob
  • Boone County Commissioner Marc Applegate
  • City of Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry
  • Town of Whitestown Town Manager Dax Norton
  • Town of Zionsville Mayor Tim Haak
  • Town of Jamestown Councilman Shane Childress
  • Town of Advance Clerk Treasurer Shari Johnson
  • Town of Thorntown Community Development Director Angie Moody

The cost to attend is $15 per person and includes admission and a hot breakfast.
