Zionsville Street And Stormwater Dept. Extends Leaf Collection
Zionsville Urban District residents have a few more days to get those leaves rounded up: MORE

ZIONSVILLE, IN — Zionsville officials say leaf collection for residents in the city's urban district will continue through Dec. 4. The city says its Street and Stormwater Department has extended curbside leaf collection, originally scheduled to end Dec. 1. The city says leaves must be placed curbside by 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 4.
In a release, the city said every collection attempt is made to make a complete round through every neighborhood each week, but during heavy times the service may extend to bi-weekly. The city says the department would appreciate the following courtesies during leaf collection:
- Rake your leaves into long narrow piles along the curb. This makes it easier and quicker to vacuum the leaves, as they cannot reach leaves more than a few feet from the edge of the street.
- The leaf vacuums can only accept leaves. Please do not place sticks, pine cones, gravel or other non-leaf objects in your piles. Any damage to leaf vacuums can delay collection.
- Park your cars off the street if possible. The large truck and trail leaf vacuum are difficult to maneuver and clear streets make the job much quicker.
