Multiple Tornadoes Level Farms, Structures In Iowa
No one was injured after severe weather and at least two tornadoes swept through Iowa on Tuesday evening.
GILMORE CITY, IA — At least two confirmed tornadoes touched down in northwest Iowa, causing widespread property damage as a large cell of severe weather swept through the state Tuesday evening.
One tornado touched down near Gilmore City and Bradgate in Humboldt County, and another tornado was spotted north of Palmer and west of Gilmore City, according to the National Weather Service.
No injuries have been reported, but some homes and other rural buildings were hit by a tornado near Gilmore City, according to a report from the Des Moines Register.

Several other tornadoes were reported across the state Tuesday, and officials are working to confirm those. Severe weather caused significant property damage in central and north central Iowa.
Aerial footage shows barns and other structures leveled after a possible tornado swept through Fort Dodge, which is around 95 miles north of Des Moines.

Video shows an 18-wheeler nearly was caught in the Gilmore City tornado but was able to avoid the funnel cloud before it hit a barn and moved across a highway.
The storms are part of an already busy 2022 tornado season that has seen 12 people killed.
