Three students named as National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholars

Congratulations to Ames High seniors Kevin Babcock, Camilla Dreasher and Erol Unal, who are among nearly 5,000 students selected by the National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholars from a pool of more than 235,000 students who took the 2010 PSAT/NMSQT and identified themselves as Hispanic/Latino. The list of recognized students is distributed to subscribing four-year postsecondary institutions. This gives the students an opportunity to hear from colleges that are particularly interested in communication with academically outstanding students of Hispanic/Latino heritage.

Fall Play

The fall play is Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. both evenings.  We proudly present Figments by Billy St. John. Come see this sophisticated, extremely funny farce about a playwright struggling with writer's block, who also must face his characters when they leap from his imagination and appear on stage. Tickets are $5. Student price is $4.  No activity passes.
