Traffic disruptions are expected to be minimal. The outside lane of southbound South Dakota Avenue near U.S. Highway 30 will be closed at times throughout the project; however, access to U.S. Highway 30 ramps will always be maintained.

The second traffic signal installation will be at the intersection of State Avenue and Mortensen Road. The City is coordinating with Iowa State University to install a temporary traffic signal at this location, with work beginning this week and lasting for four to six weeks. Traffic disruptions should be minimal throughout the project. This temporary signal will be converted to a permanent signal sometime within the next two to three years.
