Ames What R-ish You Watching?

It's almost Saint Patrick's Day. and begin their celebrations this evening. In case you're more of a homebody here are some Irish flicks found in Ames Red Boxes.

 

“Leap Year” is a movie about a woman who follows an Irish tradition that allows women to ask their boyfriends to marry them on Leap Day. The movie stars Amy Adams and Matthew Goode. It received 3.5 stars.

 

“Kill the Irishman” is a rated R-film staring Val Kilmer and Christopher Walken. It's based on a true story about Irish mobster Danny Greene's rise who was called the man the mob couldn't kill. It's received a 4-star rating.

 

“The Devil's Own” staring Brad Pitt and Harrison Ford, is rated R and has 3.5 stars. Ford's character takes in a young Irish emigree who turns out to be an Irish rebel.

 

“Scream of the Banshee” a low rated horror movie, involves Irish lore about a Banshee scream signaling death. It's rated R of course.
