• ISU developing Watershed Innovation Farm (kcau9.com) — Just south of campus in Ames State University is building a Watershed Innovation Farm that will open next year as a hands-on hub for water-quality and conservation education. The site will feature buffers, bioreactors, wetlands, cover crops, and monitoring technology, giving local farmers, students, and residents a close-up look at practices that can cut nutrient runoff across Iowa.
• Jaylen Raynor accounts for 4 touchdowns in Iowa State's 38-10 win over Southeast Missouri State (kimt.com) — Iowa State kicked off its season in Ames with a 38-10 win over Southeast Missouri State, giving new head coach Jimmy Rogers his first victory and showcasing transfer quarterback Jaylen Raynor's four-touchdown debut. The Cyclones' defense dominated with six sacks and strong run defense, while the team now turns its attention to next weekend's Cy-Hawk trip to Iowa City.
