Abraham Lincoln: Movie Bore

If moviegoers are to spend nine bucks to see a movie, it needs more than just a great premise.

I'm disappointed with the poor reviews for "Abraham Lincoln:  Vampire Hunter."  Having read this book as well as "Pride And Prejudice And Zombies," I enjoyed the humor and creativity displayed in both books.

The key, of course, is humor, and this reviewer seems surprised that the Lincoln movie is sooooo serious.  It appears that this film, like "Snakes On A Plane" ,"Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus" and "Cowboys vs Aliens," is a great concept executed poorly.

"The Avengers" has probably created high expectations for films that begin with a great idea...but then need to deliver.  Hollywood needs to deal with a new world in which most people are not willing to shell out nine bucks for a first-run film...when they know it will be available eventually on demand or streaming for much, much less.
