Beliefs Differ; Actions Must Be The Same

I'm in favor of the separation of church and state;  not so much because I worry about the church getting involved in my government--but political behavior impacting my church.

I'm not one of those Christians who warn people of faith away from politics, but I always caution my Christian friends not to rationalize what passes as normal behavior in the political world (like encouraging contempt for the opposition) as acceptable behavior for believers.

It's can be very discouraging when pastors model abhorrent political behavior. Leaders shouldn't compromise their beliefs, but they should respect differences and also realize that the rules of behavior are pretty much set for Christians.

When media personalities tell you they are on a moral crusade, they are lying to you.
