My Iowa Caucus prediction
Here's how the GOP candidates will finish in Iowa. Or maybe not.
Well, it's that time of year. Time for commentators on the Internet to make their political predictions--and if they are wrong, to hang their failure out in public for eternity. Oh, the joy of blogging!
Iowa caucus prediction:
1. Mitt Romney 23%
2. Rick Santorum 21%
3. Ron Paul 19%
4. Newt Gingrich 12%
5. Rick Perry 12%
6. Michele Bachmann 7%
7. Jon Huntsman 3%
8. Other 3%
After Iowa: Michele Bachmann quits. Paul and Huntsman engage Romney directly in New Hampshire; Romney will win, but Paul and Huntsman attempt to maintain viability heading into the southern states. Santorum, Gingrich, and Perry concede New Hampshire to Romney and head to South Carolina, hoping to capture the nomination by winning southern states.
Prediction for myself: if my Iowa caucus predictions are wrong, I'll be issuing more predictions and analysis on Wednesday, just like weathermen and NFL analysts.
