Rick Perry: Huh?

Rick Perry seems to be mixing and matching his issues in his latest ad, as well as his hairdo and jacket.

From Tara:

Rick Perry's new Iowa campaign ad, complete with Carhartt jacket and the standard Perry 'do (two things that should never appear together, in my opinion), is making waves here in our fair state.  In it, he makes a head-scratcher of an analogy, wondering why gays can serve in the military while children cannot pray in schools (uh, because, well, apples and oranges, Rick?).

He also lets us know (were we wondering?) that he is not ashamed of his faith.  Lucas Kavner at the Huffington Post shares his list of the analogies that Perry (might have) considered, but did not use.  Among them: "If gay soldiers are allowed to serve openly in the military, tell me we shouldn't build an electric wall on our border, on top of an electric fence, guarded by lions wearing Christmas scarves."

And the Photoshoppers have been having a little fun too.
